Cupping

Myofascial Decompression, better known as cupping, is a therapy treatment that helps with injuries by utilizing a suction method directly to the injured area. For recovery purposes, cupping helps increase blood circulation to the affected area. Cupping will significantly relieve muscle tension and decrease muscle tightness. This will improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair to the tissues.

Kinesiotaping

Kinesiology tape is used to support the stability of muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion. This method helps stabilize the injured area by lightly adhering to the skin and applying pressure t o the tissues the tape is wrapped around. Kinesiotaping helps prevent new injuries, stabilize current injuries, optimize performance, and decrease pain. This is a very common method used to help muscles recover effectively.

Electrical Stimulation

Electrical Stimulation is used to contract muscles that are weak or not functioning effectively. Electrodes are applied to the skin, which are connected via a wire to an electrical stimulation machine. Electrical stimulation units help decrease pain or muscle spasms. Two types of electrical stimulation that are commonly used for recovery are the Transcutaneous Electrical Neuromuscular Stimulation (TENS) unit, and the Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) unit.
